Vern was one of 66 residents displaced from his home on July 24, 2018 in the Deep Cove Lions Manor Fire. At this point, as the fire started in the unit above his, he is unable to access his unit and has seemingly lost everything. We are still scrambling trying to find him a home and replace his belongings. As a way to fundraise, we have ordered greeting cards and tote bags featuring Vern’s artwork. We will be donating proceeds from each sale to the victims of the fire. The bags showcase a new slogan “Cove Love” – a reflection of the amazing community we have here and how much everyone has come together in this time of need.

Vern will be participating in the Art in the Garden tour again this year!
This two day event is a self guided tour where you're able to meet both musical and visual artists, and see their work showcased in some of the North Shore's best kept gardens. It is the 15th annual Art in the Garden tour, and takes place Sat. May 31st to Sun. June 1st. Sixteen gardens, thirty-two musical performances, and thirty-seven artists will be taking part this year.
Admission is only $1 per garden, so visit one, or spend the afternoons visiting them all!
If you'd like to meet Vern or view his artwork he will be showing at 325 West 19th Street, North Vancouver from 12:00-5:00pm.
